Santa Barbara Center

Central Coast Treatment Center gives residents in the Santa Barbara and surrounding areas compelling solutions to eating, exercise and body image disorders, utilizing a highly effective, concentrated program which targets the root causes, the isolation, and loss of self trust inherent in disorders influenced by today’s culture – a culture that fosters a cycle of obsession about weight, eating and exercise.

Programs & Services

Central Coast Treatment Center provides 3 levels of treatment options: our intensive outpatient program (IOP), our day treatment program (PHP), both of which are covered by major insurance companies, or individual consultation sessions, meeting the unique needs of clients seeking help with anorexia nervosa, bulimia, emotional overeating, exercise addiction, or other problems related to body image and weight. We can also help with hospital and psychiatric referrals.

Central Coast Treatment Center, contracted with UC Santa Barbara’s insurance program, provides licensed mental health and nutrition professionals capable of helping our clients with a variety of eating/body image disorder issues, including overeating, anorexia and bulimia treatment. Our treatment center provides a caring staff, many of whom are recovered from their own eating disorders, with the highly specialized skills to help even those reluctant clients suffering from body image/eating issues. Our Staff

Our caring and highly trained professionals know exactly how to inspire individuals at any age, toward real vitality and health despite the lure of the diet and body image industry. Misguided attempts at health and fitness often result in a baffling loss of control, and eventually isolation from meaningful relationships and activities. We understand the unique psychology of eating, body image and exercise – and how to reconnect to true control with the joy that comes with peace of mind again. We know that a full recovery is possible!

Parent & Family Support

Our family support services include a mothers support group, family and couples therapy and parent support & education group to help loved ones understand the challenges our clients face and helps them come together to overcome these issues. Building a strong network of support is essential to dealing with these cultural issues at a time where the internet and multi-media devices capture the attention of many of us. That is why we provide family, parental education and offer school and community education, from our eating disorder treatment center.

Mental Health Services

Our mental health services, include registered dietitians that specialize in nutritional psychology to help clients learn both about the physiology of nutrition and metabolism alongside the unique psychology related to how the brain and moods are affected by eating and weight. We have three decades of experience in providing lasting transformative solutions for adolescents, young adults and mature adults struggling with eating and body image issues.
